WHAT IT IS
TellerHub is INM's branch front-office: one application for everything that happens at the counter - customer identification and a 360° view, multi-currency till management, deposits and withdrawals, foreign exchange, cheques, payments, transfers and enrolment in digital channels - over a middleware layer that talks to whichever core you already run - Banka, Finastra Essence or an in-house legacy system. It replaces the patchwork of a legacy teller front, a payments portal and terminal screens with a single service session, a single journal and a single set of profiles, and it gives branch managers real-time authorisations and a console over every till.
THE PLATFORM
The customer is identified by facial recognition or manual search; a new customer goes straight to account opening or occasional registration.
Position per currency, pending remittances and top-ups, and the day's transactions in a single panel.
The service session opens the full profile - identification, integrated position, management and biometrics - and data updates are submitted for approval, with several sessions open in parallel.
Balance, limit used and denominations per currency.
Explicit states: the teller confirms receipt, acceptance stays with the treasurer.
WHY IT MATTERS
Branch front-office - cash operations, multi-currency and real-time authorisations - integrated with any core banking system. The counter uses the same services as the digital channels.
ADVANTAGES
Identification, cash, payments, cheques, FX and enrolment in a single session - instead of a teller front, a payments portal and terminal screens open side by side.
Every interaction starts with the customer: a 360° dashboard with omnichannel history and integrated position, so the counter advises and sells as well as posts.
A till with explicit states, balances and denominations per currency; remittances and top-ups tracked, shortages and overages regularised, closing only at zero - in sync with the core.
Profiles built from use cases, maker-checker with a second factor above limits, and an immutable journal where every operation - even an enquiry - is recorded with operator, till and branch.
FEATURES
Service session with three ways to identify the customer: search by document, account or name; bank card and PIN on the POS terminal; or a walk-in without an account. Facial recognition for the fastest and most secure path.
Entity dashboard (360°): omnichannel history across branch, internet, mobile and SMS, balances and movements, IBAN and SWIFT, PDF statements and an integrated position converted at the day's rate.
Till management: opening with a count by denomination and currency, top-ups and remittances, interruption and resumption, shortage and overage regularisation and a closing report - with balances synchronised with the core.
Cash and foreign exchange: deposits into own or third-party accounts, withdrawals with balance validation, buying and selling at the core's rates, settled in cash or on account - always with a receipt.
Cheques: deposit, withdrawal with scanning and data validation, front and back image, endorsement and clearing status, and cheque-book requests.
Payments for customers and walk-ins: services, State and taxes, top-ups and sector payments, with enquiry and detail of everything that was paid.
Transfers and wallet: real-time internal transfers with receipt and SMS, national and international transfers, and wallet top-up, cash-out and balance by phone number.
Digital-channel enrolment at the counter: individuals and companies, contacts, accounts and channels, credentials sent by SMS and the contract printed on the spot - plus a channel back office with limits by customer type, operation and currency.
Manager console: every till and balance in the branch, pending operations, approve or reject with a second factor above limits, portfolio follow-up and alerts. Mobile approval for managers away from their desk.
Operator dashboard and back office: widgets by profile, an electronic journal with filters and export, and configuration without code - operations, fields, currencies, denominations, limits, messages and profiles mapped to the HR job roles.
Built with the counter, not just for it: a field study in 20 branches, and a platform in production in a bank's branch network since 2017.
BUILT FOR
Multi-currency tills, denominations and treasury control matter more than any other feature; the counter has to be fast at peak hours and reconcile at close.
Keep the counter and its know-how while the core changes underneath - the front-office talks to the middleware, not to a specific core, so there is no mass retraining.
Enrolment in digital channels, walk-in customers, wallet and the same services as mobile and internet banking - delivered by an operator when the customer needs a person.
Real-time authorisations above limits, maker-checker, an immutable journal and a console over every till - approvals no longer tied to a desk.
HOW IT WORKS
The operator logs in with their profile, opens the till with a count by denomination and currency and gets the opening slip. Balances are synchronised with the core from the first minute.
Search, card and PIN, facial recognition or a walk-in without an account. The session opens on the 360° dashboard, with only the operations allowed for that customer type and that operator.
Deposit, withdrawal, FX, cheque, payment or transfer: validated inline, authorised by the manager in real time when above limit, with a printed receipt and the operation written to the journal.
Remittance to the vault, shortages and overages regularised with a justification, closing report - and the till only closes when every balance is zero and matches the core.
Yes. The core connection is adapter-based - Banka, Finastra Essence, an in-house legacy system, whatever is already there - over API/ISO, with no change to the central system. The domestic side works the same way: each market's clearing house, EMIS in Angola included, plugs in through an adapter.
Both. Banks in markets with data-residency requirements usually choose on-premise; SaaS where regulation allows it.
INM's own teams - we don't subcontract implementation. The same team runs, evolves and supports the product 24/7 after go-live.
It sits on top of it. TellerHub is the branch front-office plus INM's middleware; the core keeps posting and holding balances. That is what lets the counter act as a relationship and cross-sell layer, and what lets you change the core without changing the counter.
Yes. Each till holds balances in three base currencies plus any additional ones you configure, with denominations, limits and remittances per currency, and it only closes when every balance is zero and reconciled with the core.
Yes. A walk-in session lets the operator take deposits into a customer's account or a wallet, wallet withdrawals and service or tax payments from someone without an account - recorded in the journal like any other operation.
